Volunteering

Would you like to volunteer?

Our WONDERFUL team of volunteers play a VITAL part in the running of the Park – helping with the many talks, animal encounters, discovery tables and craft activities that we run during peak times.

If you enjoy talking to people and have an interest in animals, we would love to hear from you! We are also keen to find volunteers with DIY skills to help with the many practical tasks around the Wildlife Park.

All volunteers can become members of our affiliated charity, the Supporters of the Curraghs Wildlife Park, and can also choose to get involved with crucial fundraising efforts. The charity works with corporate partners to provide work parties to tackle jobs and projects around the Park.

You should be 18 or over, but there's no upper age limit. So whether you're a student looking to increase your skills and experience, or retired and want to keep busy, you'll find volunteering with us rewarding.

Interested? Please contact the Park's Volunteer Co-ordinator, Liz Brunswick.

We do not recruit volunteers for animal keeper roles, as our animals are cared for by their experienced keepers who know them. However, voluntary work experience placements are sometimes available. Normally these are reserved for people embarking on a career or study path in animal management, zoology, or related subjects, but they are considered on a case by case basis.
