Internships

We are sometimes able to provide internships for students or recently qualified people in relevant fields of zoology, husbandry and education. Please get in touch through the Contact Us form for more information.

Schools

We take a small number of school work experience each year. This is organised through the school and not directly with us so please organise this with your school if interested.

Duke of Edinburgh

We run Duke of Edinburgh placements on a Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 12. If you would like to enquire about a placement please use our Contact Us form. We ask that you are over 14 and hold a current vaccination certificate for Tetanus. Please be aware there is often a waiting list, as placements are in high demand.

Other work experience

Other work experience requests are looked at on a case by case basis. Please note that spaces working directly with keepers are very limited and there is quite a lot of competition for these opportunities. We normally give priority to people who are following a career or study path in zoology or animal management, who need to gain practical experience.
