Welcome to the Curraghs Wildlife Park

The Curraghs Wildlife Park is the Isle of Man’s only zoo. Constructed at the edge of the Ballaugh Curraghs a site of scientific interest (Ramsar site) the Park attracts visitors from across the Island and is a popular destination for tourists.
The Park is a committed member of the zoological organisations BIAZA (Brittish and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and EAZA the European Association. BIAZA is a professional organization which represents its members and promotes the values of good zoos and aquariums. It leads and supports its members:
- to inspire people
- to help conserve the natural world
- to participate in effective cooperative conservation programmes
- to deliver the highest quality environmental education, training and research
- to achieve the highest standards of animal care and welfare in zoos, aquariums and in the wild.
One of the key aims of these organisations is conservation breeding which is organised Europe wide and cooperation is needed with other international zoos.
Whilst specialising in wetland animals, it is home to endangered species, large cats, birds of prey, primates and family favourites such as Meerkats and Prairie Dogs.
It is not just the animal attractions that the Park offers to its visitors. Adventure playgrounds, A unique on island giant jumping pillow, miniature railway, mini diggers and a family café all add to what we believe is the best family day out in the Isle of Man.
