Would you like to be a Wildlife Park volunteer?
Our wonderful team of volunteers help us with the many talks, animal encounters, discovery tables and craft activities that we run during peak times. If you enjoy talking to people and have an interest in animals, we would love to hear from you!
Or if you have useful DIY skills to offer, you could lend a hand with the many practical tasks around the Wildlife Park, including making enrichment "toys" for the animals.
All Wildlife Park volunteers can become members of our affiliated charity, the Friends of the Curraghs Wildlife Park, so, if you wish, you could choose to get involved with the fund raising and other events that they organise. From time to time, the Friends run one-off work parties to tackle jobs and projects around the Park - yet another way you could get involved.
You should be 18 or over, but there's no upper age limit. So whether you are a student looking to increase your skills and experience, or retired and wanting to keep busy (or any age in-between!) you will find volunteering rewarding.

Voluntary Work Experience Placements
Please understand that we don't recruit volunteers for animal keeper roles, as our animals are cared for by their experienced keepers who know them. However, voluntary work experience placements are sometimes available. Normally these are reserved for people embarking on a career or study path in animal management, zoology, or related subjects, but they are considered on a case by case basis.
We may be able to provide internships for students or recently qualified people in relevant fields of zoology, animal husbandry and education. Please get in touch through the contact form for more information.
