Nature Trail and Butterfly Trail
The Ballaugh Curragh is a much loved area on the Isle of Man. You can wander along the wooden walkways to view this wetland of scientific interest, a designated Ramsar site because of its importance as a wetland habitat. A feeding ground for Hen harriers it has retained a significant amount of biodiversity. Rare plant life and interpretation boards tell the story of the Ballaugh Curragh, you may even spot some of the island's infamous wild wallabies out on the trail. This is a fantastic easy, quiet and peaceful walk which takes you into the heart of the wetland and brings you back into the Park just outside the cafe for a convenient refreshment break.
